Hall of Famer Greg Norman will play in this month’s Humana Challenge in a partnership with the Clinton Foundation. It will be only his second appearance in the tournament previously known as the Bob Hope Classic.
“I’m confident with the recent changes to the tournament’s sponsorship and format, and with the support President Clinton will give, this event, which has been one of the most iconic tournaments for decades, will once again establish itself as one of the tournaments to play in,” Norman said in a statement.
Norman, who captained the past two International teams at the Presidents Cup, played only two regular events in 2011: a T-53 at the Australian Open and a T-23 at the Australian PGA.
The Humana Challenge is scheduled for Jan. 19-22. Other notable early commitments include defending champion Jhonattan Vegas, Bill Haas, David Toms and Zach Johnson.
