Everyone wants accuracy, but when golfers finally get a wedge to land at or near the hole, the value of accuracy increases exponentially. Wilson’s FG Tour TC wedges are designed to give players the confidence-inducing accuracy they want.
The TC stands for Traction Control, and according to the company, is the final result of many spin-enhancing qualities that Wilson has designed into these wedges. The FG Tour TC has been given an aggressive groove pattern that is enhanced by 11 laser-etched lines between each groove that the company says increases surface roughness and increases spin.
The wedges come with two sole grinds: the Traditional and the Tour. The Traditional grind features a wide sole that is designed for maximum versatility, especially for players with a steeper swing. The Tour sole design is thinner and optimized for players with a moderate- or shallow-swing path.
The soft Tour Frosted finish is designed to reduce glare and should not wear over time.
The FG Tour TC comes standard with True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts and is offered in lofts ranging from 48 degrees to 64 degrees. When first released, the wedges cost $99.
