The Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 irons are designed for the better player who demands feel and precision, but acknowledges that a little forgiveness might be good.
Forged from 8620 carbon steel for a soft feel at impact, the FG Tour V2 irons feature a thin, rounded topline and a softened leading edge radius so that an address, discerning pros and accomplished amateur players will like the look. The FG Tour V2 irons have been used by Padraig Harrington, Ricky Barnes and Kevin Streelman.
Wilson added mass directly behind the center of the face to enhance feel and make these clubs play like true musclebacks. However, there actually is a fair amount of perimeter weighting designed into the FG Tour V2s, which should increase MOI and make them slightly more forgiving.
The FG Tour V2 feature less offset than the FG Tour irons, which means that players who like to shape the ball should be able to hit fades and draws more easily.
The Wilson FG Tour V2 irons cost $799 when they were first released and came standard with KBS Tour steel shafts.
