TEMPE, Ariz. – Three UCLA players finished in the top 3, leading the top-ranked Bruins to a 12-stroke victory Sunday over host Arizona State at the Ping/ASU Invitational. The Bruins’ Ani Gulugian tied for medalist honors with Demi Runas of UC Irvine at 1-under 212, and UCLA teammates Lee Lopez and Tiffany Lua tied for third (1-under 214) at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course.
The Bruins finished with a 5-over 857 as a team in winning their fifth title this season. UCLA has finished first or second in each of its eight events. Arizona State, No. 5 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished at 17-over 869, followed by No. 19 Texas A&M (873) and No. 41 TCU (879).
