The AJGA’s Cleveland Junior Open finished June 21 at Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio, with Jessica Porvasnik of Hinckley, Ohio, winning the event for the second consecutive year in the Girls division. Evan DeRoche of Key West, Fla., claimed first-place in the Boys division.
Porvasnik, who shot a 1-under 71 and a 2-under 70 the first two days, took a three-shot lead over Kari Bellville of Granger, Ind., into the final round. Her final-round 3-over 75 made it a successful defense of her 2011 victory, finishing at even-par 216 for the tournament.

DeRoche posted rounds of 72-70-73 to finish at 1-under 215. DeRoche, who birdied four of his first 14 holes in the final round, struggled coming in, finishing his last four holes at 4-over. But it was enough to win by two strokes over Sean Crocker of Westlake Village, Calif., who shot a 1-over 217.
Andrew Bieber of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Nicholas Jan of Northbrook, Ill., tied for third-pace with a 4-over 220. Frank Garber of Kirkland, Wash., capped of the top-5 with a 6-over 222.
