Northern California edged British Columbia by five shots at the Junior America’s Cup to win the event for the 10th time. Northern California finished at 7-under 623 at BanBury Golf Club in Eagle, Idaho.
Northern California got a final-round boost from Justin Pagila, who shot 3-under 67. Pagila was the leading score for the the team in Round 2 also, shooting 66. He opened with even-par 70.
British Columbia was the only other team in the 17-team field to finish under par for 54 holes. They were at 2-under 628. Southern California was third at 3-over 633. Colorado and San Diego were tied for fourth further back, at 11-over 641.
In the individual competition, Southern California’s Rico Hoey shot 9-under 201 to beat Pagila by two shots. Hoey won the Callaway Junior World Championship earlier this month.
