PGA of America, Ketel One Vodka enter marketing deal

Ketel One Vodka, a freshly minted licensee of the PGA of America, wasted little time capitalizing on its new marketing opportunity: At the PGA Championship, it already had a new signature drink to mark the occasion.

Creating drinks such as “the Wanamaker Tee Time” with Ketel One Citroen flavored vodka is one of the ways the company plans to activate its deal. Another signature drink is on tap to debut at the Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club near Chicago, Sept. 28-30.

The opportunity to use the PGA’s marquee events as marketing platforms was a primary reason for Ketel One to pursue the partnership. In addition to being a licensee, the company gains the designation as the “official vodka of the PGA of America.”
