Anna Temple has been named the head women’s golf coach at UC Davis, the school announced Thursday.
Temple, who spent the last four seasons as an assistant at Cal, replaces Anne Walker, who took the Stanford job last month. Temple played college golf at Cal and played professionally on the Durmaed Futures Tour, Ladies European Tour and Ladies African Tour.
She’ll lead an Aggies squad that is a three-time defending Big West champion and returns all five starters from a year ago.
“I am looking forward to continuing the great tradition of Aggie golf and to have an opportunity to work with such a fine group of young ladies,” Temple said. “I am grateful to Terry Tumey and to the athletic department for giving me this opportunity and I am honored to now be a part of the UC Davis family.”
