Alec Bone has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Colorado State. The Anthem, Ariz., native also made an unofficial visit to the Air Force Academy, where his twin brother, Brenden, will be attending.
The Boulder Creek High senior also had offers from Air Force, Grand Canyon University and Armstrong Atlantic State.
Bone chose Colorado State because he felt that it will give him the best opportunity to improve his game.
“I love the golf facilities,” said Bone. “I feel like Coach Newton knows what he is doing, and sets goals and high standards for his team.”
In 2012, he was medalist at the Aguila Horizon Invitational, while claiming the course-record, 63, at Aguila GC and was awarded the Sportsmanship Award from the Junior Golf Association of Arizona.
