CME Group, title sponsor of the LPGA’s CME Group Titleholders tournament, is investing in another of the tour’s assets – not an event, but one of its players.
Saying it wants to increase its commitment to women’s professional golf, CME Group announced a sponsorship deal with Brittany Lincicome. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Among the LPGA’s marquee players, Lincicome has five LPGA career victories and has exceeded $5 million in total earnings. Last year, she competed on her third U.S. Solheim Cup team.
“Sponsoring both Brittany and the LPGA… broadens the reach of the CME Group brand globally and furthers our efforts in engaging with customers,” said Anita Liskey, CME Group’s managing director of corporate marketing and communications. The company brings buyers and sellers of derivatives together through its electronic trading platform and its trading facilities in New York and Chicago.
This year’s Titleholders tournament, held at TwinEagles in Naples, Fla., concluded Nov. 18.
