The PGA Tour Latinoamerica announced on Thursday there will be 15 events in nine countries across Latin America in 2013 to be played in two swings.
“We are delighted by PGA TOUR Latinoamerica’s inaugural season and are encouraged by its growth heading into next season” said PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem.
The Tour will open its second season on March 11th in Mexico City. A three week break will ensue before playing in Argentina on April 15th. The Colombia event will be contested from April 29-May 5. The first part of the schedule will end with a three week stretch of events from May 13–June 2.
The second part of the 2013 PGA Tour Latinoamerica’s schedule will begin in Brazil during the week of Oct. 7th followed by the Brazilian Open. The season will continue Oct. 28-Nov. 3 in Peru and the next week in Chile. The race for “Los Cinco” will end in Buenos Aires with the last two events of 2013 beginning on Nov. 25th.
