Cal sophomore Hannah Suh edged incoming Clemson freshman Ashlan Ramsey by one shot to win the Trans National Amateur Friday at Schaffer’s Mill Golf and Lake Club in Truckee, Calif.

Suh and Ramsey were tied at 2 under entering the fourth round, but Suh shot 3-under 33 on the front nine to separate herself from Ramsey, who carded a 37. Suh’s final-round 1-over 73 was her third round of par or better – she was the only player in the field to shoot three rounds at par or better. She finished the tournament at 1-under 287 and was the only player under par.

Ramsey, who closed with a 74, led by five shots after two rounds, but a third-round 77 allowed Suh to grab a share of the lead entering the final round.

Allisen Corpuz and Beverly Vatananugulkit tied for third at 6 over.
