Weekly tickets for the 2013 Presidents Cup are sold out, tournament officials announced on Thursday, a week before the competition is set to begin.
Tickets for the competition rounds were capped at 35,000 spectators per day. There are, however, still tickets available for the Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds.
“The overwhelming response by ticket buyers is an example of the tremendous support the Presidents Cup has received, both from the Dublin-Columbus region and from golf fans around the world,” Presidents Cup Executive Director Matt Kamienski said. “The sellout is an indicator of the global growth in popularity of this event.”
The Presidents Cup is set to begin Thursday and run through Sunday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
