California, Stalter sweep titles at Alister MacKenzie

Final Results

California, No. 4 in the GolfweekSagarin College Rankings, won its third straight title at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational title on Tuesday at Sonoma Golf Club. The team shot 39-under 825 for a 22-shot victory over UC Davis.

Oregon State finished in third at 14-under 850 and tied for fourth was BYU and Arizona State (851)

California was lead by senior Joel Stalter, who claimed his third career college title. Stalter shot 64-69-70 for a 13-under 203 total and a one shot victory over Oregon State’s David Fink. Fink shot a final-round 4-under 68 to challenge Stalter for the title.

Cal seniors Pace Johnson and Brandon Hagy also finished in the top-four. Johnson finished in solo third at 11 under and Hagy, the No. 3 player in the Golfweek Rankings, finished tied for fourth at 10 under.
