Jack Nicklaus plans on competing in the PNC Father-Son Challenge again this year. Only this time, he’ll opt to pair with a different son.
Nicklaus won the 1999 Father-Son title with his son, Gary, whom he also partnered with last year. Now, he’ll call upon his oldest son, Jack II, to be his partner for the event, which is set for Dec. 12-15 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
The tournament is for past major champions of Players Championship winners, and their sons.
Nicklaus is looking to become just the third player to win the event with different sons. Raymond Floyd and Larry Nelson are the other two.
Also, Nick Price and Stewart Cink will compete in this event for the first time this year. And Bernhard Langer and Fuzzy Zoeller will be competing again with their daughters.
