Alison Lee of Valencia, Calif., and Scott Scheffler of Dallas were named the Rolex Junior Players of the Year the AJGA announced on Tuesday.
Now a freshman at UCLA, Lee won all three of her starts on the AJGA and was on the victories Wyndham Cup (West) and Ping Junior Solheim Cup (USA) teams. She is a six-time first-team Rolex Junior All-American and has a total of nine AJGA victories.
Scheffler, 17, joined the likes of Jordan Spieth when he became the fifth Texan to win the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in July. He finished 10th or better in all four AJGA tournaments. He also made it to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur in Brookline, Mass.
