Jason Kokrak delivered the shot of the young 2013-14 PGA Tour season on Wednesday, and it didn’t even happen in an official round.
Playing in the McGladrey Classic Pro-Am, Kokrak aced the 409-yard, par-4 fifth hole at Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course.
Kokrak, a 28-year-old from Ontario, tweeted this after his round:
• @jaykokrak: “Hole in one! pic.twitter.com/eXgkStHTbU“
A hole-in-one on a par 4 has happened just once during an official PGA Tour round. Andrew Magee accomplished the feat during the 2001 Waste Management Phoenix Open when he aced the par-4 17th hole at TPC Scottsdale.
