Rickie Fowler and Hideki Matsuyama were among the 14 players who secured Masters berths on Sunday after finishing inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking.
Fowler and Matsuyama were ranked 40th and 23rd, respectively, following the final two world-ranked events of 2013, the Nelson Mandela Championship and the Thailand Golf Championship.
This will be Fowler’s fourth straight Masters appearance. He’s made the cut in each of his previous three starts at Augusta. Matsuyama was low amateur at the 2011 Masters, and also competed in the event in 2012.
Other players earning spots who were not already in the field are Thomas Bjorn (24th), Jamie Donaldson (26th), Victor Dubuisson (32nd), Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano (35th), Migual Angel Jimenez (37th), Francesco Molinari (38th), Matteo Manassero (43rd), David Lynn (45th), Thongchai Jaidee (46th), Peter Hanson (48th), Joost Luiten (49th) and Branden Grace (50th).
