Host Cal State Northridge sweeps Matador titles

Cal State Northridge completed its wire-to-wire victory at the Matador Invitational, carding a final-round 9-over 297 on Tuesday at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, Calif.

The event, in its first year, is the host event for the Matadors, who at 23 over finished 36 shots ahead of second-place BYU.

Clariss Guce’s final-round even-par 72 gave her the individual title at even par and ensure a Cal State Northridge sweep. The Matadors also boasted one of the runner-up finishers, Arinda Bhanaraksa, who shared second with BYU’s Leah Garner at 4 over.
