One year after setting course records, sophomore Mariah Stackhouse and the Stanford Cardinal return to the Stanford (Calif.) Golf Course to host the Peg Barnard Invitational Saturday and Sunday.

Stackhouse shot a 10-under 61 in her final round last season as she took medalist honors and led Stanford to the win.

This year, the Cardinal will host 13 additional teams, including: California, Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UNLV.

Besides Stanford (No. 5), Oregon is the only other team in the field to rank in the top 25 of the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, sitting at No. 17.

The teams will play 36 holes in total – 18 on Saturday and the final 18 on Sunday.

Several teams in the field competed earlier this season at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. California took a runner-up finish, while Stanford placed fourth, UC Davis took fifth, San Jose State finished eighth and Oregon State placed 15th.
