Stanford wins Peg Barnard Invitational

Stanford started its spring season with a second consecutive victory, claiming the Peg Barnard Invitational. The Cardinal shot a 2-over 570, beating UC Davis by 16 strokes.

Stanford, No. 5 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, had three players place among the top 5: Lauren Kim and Casey Danielson at T-2 and Mariah Stackhouse, last year’s medalist, at T-4. Kim finished with a round of 68.

UNLV junior Dana Finkelstein took medalist honors after firing two rounds in the 60s. She was the only golfer on UNLV to finish in the top 20.

UNLV, California and Oregon rounded out the top 5.
