Man drains 95-foot putt at Auburn hoops game

Here’s an early candidate for putt of the year.

But get this: it didn’t come on a golf course and it wasn’t hit by a professional golfer.

Patrick Burch, a 28-year-old IT worker from Birmingham, Ala., drained a 95-foot putt during halftime of the Auburn men’s basketball game on Feb. 15. The ball traveled across the hardwood, baseline to baseline before going through a golf-hole-sized opening cut into the bottom of a sign.

The putt won Burch a car, too.

Pretty good for someone who doesn’t even play golf.
