UNLV won the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters for the second time in three years and seventh time in the last 10 years.
The Rebels, ranked 24th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, shot 22-over 886 at Southern Highlands Golf Club March 7-9 in Las Vegas. They finished two shots better than Oklahoma State and Stanford, topping a loaded field that included seven of Golfweek’s top 10 teams.
“Wow, just a big wow,” UNLV coach Dwaine Knight said. “To come away with a win knowing what we were facing this week with the quality of the field and how tough the course plays, I am very proud of the guys.”
