USC sophomore Kyung Kim shot 3-under 213 to win the Bruin/Wave Invitational March 4 in Tarzana, Calif.
Kim, ranked fifth in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, finished a shot ahead of teammates Annie Park and Doris Chen. The top-ranked Trojans won for the ninth time in 10 events, bouncing back from a runner-up finish to UCLA at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
“I’m very excited for my team to come back and win this week,” Kim said. “This was a test for me to play well on such a demanding course. I’m happy that I was able to stay patient and play well throughout 54 holes.”
