Callaway Apparel is not only a fashion brand, but it incorporates different technologies throughout its clothing.
“We are such a golf-authentic brand,” said Maria Erickson, director of merchandising for Callaway ladies. “We are playing off the Opti-Series; the apparel reflects the equipment the player uses.”
The Gravity skort has four Opti-Series technologies incorporated into it: the Opti-Dry, Opti-Stretch, Opti-Shield and Opti-Vent. The Dry and Stretch combine for moisture-wicking technology to keep the player dry throughout her round. The Shield has built in sun protection to block ultraviolet rays. It uses 40 UPF.
This 86 percent polyester, 14 percent spandex skort has just enough feminine qualities in it.
Perforations run down the sides of the skort in company’s Chevron logo, so it has a bit of a peekaboo effect to it, but it is also used for the Opti-Vent technology. It’s transparent and the green shorts underneath can be seen, but it’s still appropriate for golf.
For the complete outfit, pair the skort with the Link polo.
Inspired by the class tennis sweater, the polo has ‘V’ piping down the front of the polo.
“It has a traditional, but updated feel to it,” Erickson said.
Opti-Vent is used in multiple places on this polo. There is ventilation under the collar and on back of the polo for airflow. The vent on the back of the shirt also is stretchy for the player to have enough range of motion.
Additional features have been added to the polo for more of a feminine feel. The high-low hemline on the bottom of the shirt allows it to be kept untucked for comfort. The curve at the bottom of the garment is also there to accentuate the waist.
The Link polo (caviar, bachelor button and bright white) is available is sizes XS-XL for $65, and the Gravity skort (bachelor button) is available in XS-XL for $70.
