Several ranked teams will look to squeeze in a good showing at the Web.com Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday before the regular season winds down.
The tournament, which will be held at the par-72, 5,967-yard Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., will bring in 19 teams. It was played as the Marsh Landing Invitational in years passed.
The field includes Central Florida (No. 14), Chattanooga, Cincinnati, East Carolina (No. 42), Florida International, Florida State (No. 32), Illinois, Jacksonville, James Madison, Louisville (No. 35), Maryland, McNeese State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Florida, Ohio State (No. 27), Sam Houston State and Toledo.
UCF, the highest-ranked team in the field, will use the tournament as a solid test heading into the American Athletic Conference Championship. The Knights have finished in third or higher in every tournament they’ve played this spring, including two wins.
“Louisville is our strongest competition in the American Conference, so it will be nice to see how we match up with them,” UCF head coach Emily Marron said in a release. “We have been playing solid all spring and we want to end the regular season on a high note.”
Purdue won the tournament last year by eight strokes over runner-up Iowa State, but neither team will return this year.
