With three golfers in the top five, host Indiana won the NYX Hoosier Invitational by 12 strokes.

The Hoosiers finished at 1-over 853, beating out runner-up Michigan by a dozen strokes at the par-71, 6,813-yard IU Golf Course in Bloomington, Ind.

Indiana sat behind Michigan after the first two rounds of play, but the Wolverines struggled on Sunday, shooting a 14-over 298.

Senior David Mills led Indiana with a runner-up finish at 2 under, Will Seger finished in a tie for third at even par and Nicholas Grubnich tied for fifth at 1 over.

Michigan sophomore Brett McIntosh took medalist honors with a final-round 65. He finished at 4 under on the tournament, but did not help the Wolverines in the big picture because he competed as an individual.

Akron (15 over), Youngstown State (20 over) and Xavier (25 over) rounded out the top five.
