SportRx has offered prescription sunglasses for sports since 1996.
“We specialize in helping people see better while doing the sport they love,” said Rob Travakoli, SportRx vice president. SportRx, located in San Diego, operates a high-tech lab that manufactures the sport prescription lenses.
The lab creates technologies, such as different tints for different sports, and test them to make sure the correct lenses are made.
Once a customer’s prescription is available, an onsite optometrist determines what type of lense, frame and tint will fit that person’s sport.
“Something as important as vision in golf, it’s craziness to not have the right vision to make the right decision,” Travakoli said.
SportRx carries all major brands of eyewear in 3,000-5,000 frames.
The average price of perscription sunglasses from SportRx is $300. For more information, visit SportRx.com.
