Starting Jan. 1, 2016, anchoring will be nonconforming and the long putter is expected to disappear from the PGA Tour.
The big question: What putting method will players such as Adam Scott decide to use?
Kevin Stadler appears to have his own unique answer. At this week’s Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour, Stadler was seen putting left-handed on the practice green.
Stadler said he probably would use the left-handed putter — a conventional length Rife General — in Wednesday’s pro am.
“I’ve been making putts from all over the place,” Stadler said.
