Emilee Klein-Gille was named the women’s head golf coach at Tulsa on Friday.
Klein-Gille returns to coaching after two-plus years in private business. She had coached at Central Florida and San Diego State.
“I’m excited,” she said. “Tulsa has so much history, and the tremendous community support and administrative support. Everything that goes along with the package of being at Tulsa is just, for me, an incredible opportunity, and something I’m really excited about.”
She replaces Randy Keck, who resigned May 30 after seven seasons in Tulsa.
Klein-Gille, 40, won three times on the LPGA, including the 1996 Women’s British Open. She played on the victorious 2002 U.S. Solheim Cup team. She also won the 1991 U.S. Girls’ Junior before an All-American career at Arizona State that included the 1994 NCAA individual championship.
