Peter Hanson made the first hole-in-one of his PGA Tour career Saturday at the Quicken Loans National.
Hanson notched the ace at Congressional’s par-3 second hole, holing a 4-iron from 222 yards. It was the first ace at the hole in the event’s eight-year history and the 11th hole-in-one on Tour this season.
The ace also won a lucky fan a year’s worth of mortgage payments, too, courtesy of the Quicken Loans Hole-In-One Sweepstakes. Quicken Loans, however, is still looking to award $1 million to a fan when a golfer records a hole-in-one on Congressional’s par-3 10th hole.
