Storm postpones Nova Scotia Open’s 3rd round

Citing “several trees down” and high winds at Ashburn GC in the wake of Tropical Storm Arthur, the Tour postponed Saturday’s third round of the Nova Scotia Open and rescheduled it as part of 36 holes of play Sunday.

Roger Sloan and Jose de Jesus Rodriguez finished Friday’s second round tied for the lead at 10 under. David Skinns and Zach Sucher are tied for third, three shots back.

Saturday morning, the tour attempted to merely delay play Saturday and wait for the tropical storm’s winds to pass. As the day went on and damage to the course and to television-broadcasting infrastructure became severe, the tour announced on Twitter that the round was postponed in its entirety. Play is set to resume at 6:30 a.m. ADT Sunday.
