Tway goes low, shares lead at Shaw Charity Classic

There are three names at the top of the leaderboard in Calgary, Canada, but it was Bob Tway’s day at the Shaw Charity Classic.

Tway recorded seven birdies and an eagle en route to a 7-under 63, the low round of the day at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. He shares the lead through 36 holes with Joe Durant and Joe Daley with one round remaining in the Champions Tour event.

Tway, who has only two top 10s and no wins through 17 starts this season, moved up 22 spots on the leaderboard with his round of 7 under.

Gary Hallberg and Mark McNulty are tied for fourth at 9 under, and a group of four golfers sits two back at 8 under, including Bernhard Langer.
