Garrett Osborn fired his second straight round in the 60s, a 3-under 69, in West Palm Beach, Fla., taking the lead with one round remaining in first-stage qualifying for Web.com Tour Q-School.
Osborn, a former UAB standout who earned third-team All-America honors from Golfweek in 2006, leads Brad Brunner of Tampa, Fla., at The Breakers Rees Jones Course.
The top 31 players and ties will move on to the second stage.

• PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Will McCurdy, a former All-SEC performer at Auburn, leads by one stroke over Seamus Power as 75 golfers play for 31 spots and ties.
• DAYTON, Nev. – John Ellis leads Darren Wallace and Cory Renfrew by two strokes at Dayton Valley Golf Club, where the second round was postponed Wednesday due to weather. The field of 75, vying for the top 30 and ties, played the second round Thursday, with the hopes of including the first nine holes of the third round as well and complete the final 27 holes Friday.
