Bradley: Bear’s Club pace fine; Jordan always wanted course

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Is the pace of play at the Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Fla. too slow?

According to multiple reports this week, Michael Jordan, the former Chicago Bulls great and principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets, not only believes that the pace is sluggish, he has actually acquired nearby land to build his own club.

Fellow Bear’s Club member and close friend Keegan Bradley isn’t so sure Jordan actually made the slow-play comments.

“I don’t know who said that, because I think at Bear’s Club we fly around,” Bradley said. “If we are waiting, people let us through. I think Michael would say that…. I don’t think that’s coming from Michael.”

Bradley believes that Jordan has always dreamed of opening his own course, but doesn’t believe its because of any slow play issues at the Bear’s Club.

“I’ve never played where I’ve waited,” Bradley said. “I don’t know where that’s coming from. Couple of times, maybe over the holidays, when it’s super busy, but even then they let us through. Even if they’re waiting half the time. I was surprised to see that.”
