Fresh. Soft. Efficient. Clean. Detailed.
Those words describe Devereux’s Spring 2017 collection to a tee, according to Robert Brunner, who co-founded Devereux along with his brother, Will Brunner.
The collection was inspired by travel. Brunner calls it “mod-resort,” and it borrows from fashion seen at both hip boutique and fancy beachfront resorts. The collection includes easy-to-wear colors – blues, grays and greens – and new performance fabrics.
“I wanted to design a line that makes you feel like you are on vacation and away from life’s struggles,” Brunner said. “Something you can take with you to some of the world’s most amazing places, throw on with ease and yet still look completely put together and fresh. When designing this collection, I was inspired by the guy that’s on the move – always jet-setting to his favorite golf resort or beach town. That’s the guy I’d like to be.
“I also wanted to put a lot of focus on fabrication and feel – soft comfortable fabrics for everyday use and comfort.”
The highlight of this collection: Hybrid bottoms, including the Cruiser Shorts ($75).
“Our biggest highlight is our Hybrid shorts; I’ve created an amphibious short that transitions from the swimming pool or ocean to a round on the course,” Brunner said. “… Also releasing mid-spring is the piece I’m most excited about – the hybrid pant. It’s lightweight, performance ready and easy to wear but stylistically designed to look great in a more upscale setting, as well.”
Other featured items include the Naples Crewneck sweater ($145; pictured above story), and Palms ($85) and Riviera ($80) polos.
