The 2017 Golfweek Four-Ball Championship saw close battles in every flight including a three team playoff!

Golfweek Division:

In the Championship Flight the team of Jim Aughtry and Joe Jaspers poured it on Sunday with a seven under par round of 65 to win by 2 shots.  First round leaders Steve Reigle and Eric King finished in solo second at 136 while Aughtry and Jaspers were at 134.  Rounding out the top three spots was the team of Jeff Maier and John Fryman with a 141 total.

In the A flight the team of Jim Martin and Armand Cimaroli fired round of 77-73-150 to win by five shots.  Darren Parkes and John McCandless finished second at 155 and the first round leaders Shane Repola and Jesse Hooper stumbled a bit on Sunday 75-83-158 to finish in third.

Senior Division:

In the Championship Flight three teams finished up tied at 141 and a sudden-death playoff started back on the 18th hole.  All the players hit good drives but the treacherous approach shot to the green spelled the end for the team of Mike Gentry and Dennis McCormac.  Gentry hit his second shot in the water and McCormac plugged in the front bunker and was unable to get it up and down for par.  The other two teams moved on to the par five first hole after tying on the 18th.  The team of Lee Barton & Lennie Barton birdied the fourth playoff hole for the victory of Dennis Helms and Denny Adkins.

In the A flight the team of Tom Chambers and Phil Vangeersdalen won with scores of 70-71-141 for a six shot victory.  Bill Shufelt and Steve Wind finished solo second at 147 followed by John Allessio and Lemark Harris at 149.

In the B Flight the teams all were close but in the end the team of Jim Blaylock and John Welch win by one shot at 75-77-152.  John Rinaldi and Allen Hagen battled all day but came up one shot short at 153 followed by the father son team of Joe Lee and Larry Lee in third with 154.
