Jordan Spieth’s final stop on his Spieth One Global Tour came Tuesday in Mexico. Not only did Spieth promote his first signature shoe with Under Armour, the two-time major winner from Dallas also hosted a clinic for juniors to help launch the First Tee of Mexico.

Nearly 30 local youth from the Boys and Girls Club, and Premier Swing, were on hand for the event, the first for the First Tee of Mexico, which was founded by Grupo Salinas in support of the WGC-Mexico Championship’s charitable mission to teach the game of golf and its values to children throughout the country.

During the clinic, Spieth showcased his warm-up routine, swing techniques and provided tips to the young golfers in attendance. There was also an interactive Q&A session and photo opportunity with the young golfers. During the Q&A, Jordan told a story about picking up a club when he was 2 years old and spoke about the importance of practice and persistence, both of which have helped him to succeed in a very challenging sport. He reiterated that young players are the key to the future of the sport.

When asked the question, “What would he like to be remembered for?” Jordan responded that ultimately, he would like to be remembered for more than his contributions to golf and that he hopes his impact on the sport will be rooted in his ability and desire to help people overcome challenges and succeed in any endeavor they set their minds to.

“I’m really proud that Under Armour shares my values of supporting junior golf, which is a big part of the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation,” Spieth said. “It’s really special to have a chance to share with the juniors and be a part of this event.”

As part of their dedication to growing the game of golf, Under Armour will be outfitting the First Tee of Mexico City and will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Mexico Limited Edition Spieth One shoe to the new First Tee chapter.
