While Tiger Woods hasn’t decided yet if he’ll be able to play in the Masters in three weeks, he will be on hand at Augusta National for the Tuesday evening Champions Dinner.
“I will be at Augusta, either way,” Woods told USA TODAY Sports’ Steve DiMeglio in an interview Monday in New York.
Woods was in New York for an appearance on “Good Morning America,” part of a tour to promote his new book, The 1997 Masters: My Story (Grand Central Publishing, available at tigerwoodsmasters.com).
During his GMA appearance, Woods, who hasn’t played since withdrawing from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, said he was “trying everything I can do to get back and play. I love that event. It’s meant so much to me in my life.”
Woods has until his Thursday tee time to decide if he’s playing the Masters or not.
