AUGUSTA, Ga. – Who knows, Kevin Chappell may be hanging around the back nine on Sunday at Augusta National.
Chappell is currently 1 over for the tournament and in the top 15, thanks to some great shots. And there’s one to thank in particular.
Chappell faced 131 yards for his second shot at the par-4 seventh in the third round. No player had holed out for eagle on this hole at the Masters in five years, that is until Chappell stepped up to the plate.
Watch this beautiful shot from Chappell drop in for eagle.
This moved Chappell to 1 over. He’s played his next six holes in even par. Funnily enough, Chappell’s last (and first) appearance at the Masters was five years ago.
His second showing is going pretty well.
