Russell Henley flies one into the hole for eagle ... and doesn't even know it

AUGUSTA, Ga. – What a couple of weeks for Russell Henley.

First, he wins the Shell Houston Open with a final-round 65 to earn a spot in the Masters. He’s played pretty well with his last-minute spot into Augusta National.

Henley was 2 over through 54 holes and has jumped out to a fast start Sunday. It’s mostly thanks to this stunning shot at the par-4 fifth.

There hadn’t been an eagle recorded in competition at the hole since 2003, but then Henley stepped up from 185 yards and flew the ball right into the cup.

The best part? At first, he didn’t even know it.

Yes Russell, celebrate. That’s an eagle. A birdie at No. 7 to follow pushes Henley to 2 under for the day and even par overall.
