UPDATE No. 7 (7:30 p.m. ET): Here’s a recap of the day.

UPDATE No. 6 (5:12 p.m. ET): Rickie Fowler has made 12 pars and one bogey Friday. That means he’s 1 over overall at the moment. He just needs to play his final five holes in 3 over or better and he’ll make the cut. The lead remains with Lingmerth, and barring something crazy, he’ll be the 36-hole leader.

UPDATE No. 5 (3:37 p.m. ET): Curtis Luck, who recently turned pro, is now 4 under and T-6 after birdies at Nos. 12 and 13 (he started the day on No. 10). The reigning U.S. Amateur champion is now in contention.

UPDATE No. 4 (2:51 p.m. ET): Rickie Fowler is of in Round 2. So far, he’s stuck in neutral. Fowler starts his round with five straight pars. Still, at Even par, he’s T-29 and well clear of the cutline at the moment.

UPDATE No. 3 (1:38 p.m. ET): Lingmerth is unstoppable. Why not close the round with a birdie? He does at the 18th and that’s a second straight 65. He’s 10 under through 36 holes and boasts a two-shot lead.

UPDATE No. 2 (11:18 a.m. ET): Lingmerth birdies No. 10 as well and pars the 11th and is 9 under. He’s one ahead of Geoff Ogilvy, who’s 5 under for the day through 14 holes.

UPDATE No. 1 (10:18 a.m. ET): David Lingmerth continues his strong play. He’s 3 under on his round after three early birdies. That moves him to 8 under and he’s still leading. He’s through seven holes.
