Big Cedar Lodge

Big Cedar Lodge

A vision of noted conservationist, Bass Pro Shops founder and Ozarks native Johnny Morris, Big Cedar Lodge offers a world-class outdoor resort that combines a shared appreciation for nature and conservation with a golf experience like no other. It is a pilgrimage for avid golfers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, highlighting the beauty of the Ozarks through the eyes of legendary golf architects. The golf experience is highlighted by Top of the Rock – a 9-hole, par-3 Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, Buffalo Ridge Springs – a Tom Fazio design, the Mountain Top Course designed by Gary Player and an Arnold Palmer-designed practice facility. An 18-hole course designed by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw is set to open in 2018 and the country’s first public access course designed by Tiger Woods, Payne’s Valley, is scheduled to open in 2019.

Playing golf at Big Cedar Lodge connects guests to the beauty and history of the Ozarks, giving players an opportunity to touch and feel millions of years of nature. This experience is highlighted by 300 million year old natural rock formations at the Mountain Top Course designed by Gary Player, free-ranging bison alongside Buffalo Ridge Springs, natural attractions like the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail, and breathtaking scenery surrounding Top of the Rock.

Big Cedar Lodge also plays host to an annual event on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule – the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge. Top of the Rock and Buffalo Ridge Springs first co-hosted the annual tournament in June 2014. The event, which now takes place in April, annually brings together some of the biggest names in golf to compete in a team format. It is the first and only PGA TOUR sanctioned event to use a par-3 course in official competition. The PGA TOUR Champions and Bass Pro Shops announced a four-year extension in 2017; Big Cedar Lodge will continue to host the event through 2021.

Located in the heart of the Midwest just ten miles south of Branson, Mo., this premier wilderness resort overlooks Table Rock Lake and is tucked into the wooded hillsides of the Ozark Mountains.
