Gently sculpted out of 3,200 acres of scenic farmland that has been in the Pursell family for multiple generations, the golf course, designed by Hurdzan-Fry Environmental Golf Design, Inc., features a mix of dramatic elevation changes, pristine fairways and immaculate greens. From the tips, it is as challenging as any course in its class, but the difference lies within the friendly playability of the course, which has been designed to reward great shot-making.

While you are out playing golf, be sure to notice the historical markers along the way and brush up on your American history. This course is a treasure trove of local and national history that helped shape this portion of Talladega County. You may be surprised to learn about the exploration of Hernando De Soto in historical military breastworks along the ninth fairway, Civil War tales, illegal Prohibition-era operations, and the industrious Sylacauga Fertilizer Company, which is the reason FarmLinks even exists today.

Located in foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Sylacauga, Ala. only 50 minutes south of Birmingham, AL and two hours west of Atlanta, GA.

Deluxe cottages and cabins each with four bedrooms with two queen beds and private bath, shared living area, kitchen or kitchenette. Three-story, 14,000 square-foot Parker Lodge features eight bedrooms, a great room, dining room, game room and meeting space overlooking the 17th green.

John Piney’s Barn features three meeting spaces: Theater (740 sq. ft.), Atrium (1,064 sq. ft.) and Gardenview Room (2,200 sq. ft.) The historic, 1852 Hamilton Place features a Grand Ballroom (3,500 sq. ft.), Covered Sun Porch (800 sq. ft.) and Terrace (3,000 sq. ft.).

The ORVIS® Shooting Grounds at Pursell Farms features a unique sporting clays course, five stand, wingshooting and flyfishing instruction, upland hunting memberships and full retail store offering a premium collection of Orvis® sporting gear and clothing.
