The Retreat & Links at Silvies Valley Ranch

Welcome to golf’s newest frontier – The Retreat & Links at Silvies Valley Ranch. The boutique eco-resort merges luxury and relaxation and an authentic, 140,000-acre Western ranch experience. Bringing the mystique of the region to an intimate scale, this 34-room full-service resort features two reversible 18-hole golf courses, lodging, delicious dining options, exclusive outdoor activities, a spa, and a private airstrip for guests looking to fly directly on-site.

The Links at Silvies Valley Ranch provides golfers with a special, intimate experience, including unlimited play on two reversible 18-hole courses – the Hankins and Craddock Courses. Named after two pioneer families who homesteaded the site, the Dan Hixson-designed courses fulfill the needs of every player, from novice to professionals of all ages. The course direction is played clockwise one day and counterclockwise the next, creating a different layout and variety in course set up. It challenges players to “nail it” off the tee to hit the longest drives of their lives. Constructed with the 12 legal advantages of golf in mind, those who hit their longest drive on Hankins No. 18 are rewarded with a Silvies Valley Ranch flask and a Horseshoe Nail – a rye whisky-based cocktail garnished with a pickled crab apple from one of the ranch’s many homesteads and a real horseshoe nail.

Guests can also take in the stunning mountain, forest and meadow views from two alternative, short courses on the property – the 9-hole, par-3 Chief Egan Course and the 7-hole challenge course, McVeigh’s Gauntlet. Both courses, also designed by Hixson, deliver a fun and carefree experience, helping players settle bets and test their grit. Together, these four golf courses offer an unending number of ways to customize the golf experience at Silvies Valley Ranch, bringing players face-to-face with the majesty and serenity of the region.

Off the course, guests can immerse themselves in a real working cattle ranch. Visitors can explore the grounds that were previously inhabited by Native Americans and worked by Pioneers, learn the innovative practices of a working ranch, take aim at the shooting ranges, dine on ranch-raised, grass finished organic beef and chevon, and relax near the campfire beneath the stars of the Frontier Oregon sky. For those looking to experience the true American West, Silvies Valley Ranch is Simply Amazing.
