Two Mercedes-Benz introductions to the U.S. market allow golfers the opportunity to pop the hatch and toss their clubs into a vehicle replete with convenience and luxury.
The G500 sport utility vehicle is coming to U.S. showrooms “later this fall,” according to Mercedes-Benz USA representatives. The C320 station wagon will come to America for the first time in 2002.
Rugged beauty might sound like an oxymoron, but the G500, a V8-powered sport utility loaded with standard luxury makes it work – for a price.
With a suggested retail price of $73,165, the G500 can climb grades up to 36 degrees, and is stable on lateral slopes up to 24.3 degrees, thanks in part to its three lockable differentials. Some of the G500’s standard components include GPS navigation, a nine-speaker audio system with CD changer, heated front and rear seats, full leather interior and automatic climate control.
For golfers who need a family-oriented vehicle once they pull the clubs out of the car, the C320 station wagon offers practicality with a touch of class for a suggested retail price of $39,115.
The C320’s standard features include ESP stability control, side-curtain airbags and a multifunction steering wheel that can control an available hands-free cell phone.
