Georgia Tech held off a late rally from Clemson to post a three-shot victory at the ACC Championship and claim its third conference championship in the past four years.

Georgia Tech shot a final-round 281 to finish at 18-under 846. Clemson’s 279 was the best round of the final day, and put it at 849. Duke finished third at 3 under par.

North Carolina State’s Matt Hill and Clemson’s David May shared the individual title at 10-under 206. Hill, winner of five events this year, shot a final-round 70, while May closed with a 66.

The ACC title is the 11th for the Tech golf program and sixth under head coach Bruce Heppler.

Georgia Tech placed three players in the top seven, led by senior Cameron Tringale and junior Chesson Hadley, who is from nearby Raleigh, N.C. Hadley (66) and Tringale (71) finished tied for third at 9 under par. Freshman James White tied for sixth at 4 under par after shooting three consecutive sub-par rounds.
