Georgia completed a wire-to-wire victory Sunday at the SEC Championship, shooting 286 to finish at 15-under 849. Arkansas (289) finished second at 2 under par, followed by Florida (288) at 1 over.

Florida senior Billy Horschel shot a final-round 71 to finish at 10-under 206 at Frederica Golf Club, and win by two shots over Mississippi State’s Carlos Sainz. LSU’s John Peterson (68) finished third at 6 under par.

Senior Brian Harman was Georgia’s low finisher. He shot a final-round 69 to finish fourth at 5 under par. Harris English (68) finished tied for fifth at 4 under. All five Georgia players finished in the top 15.

The SEC Championship has been held at St. Simons Island since 2001, with the Bulldogs claiming four of the nine titles. From 2001-07, the tournament was played at Sea Island’s Seaside Course. Last year, the event shifted to Frederica, where the Bulldogs came in third.

This is Georgia’s 27th SEC men’s golf title, the most of any conference team and any Georgia athletic squad.

LSU shot a tournament-low 277 in the final round to move into a tie for fourth with South Carolina.
