Sheary, Wake Forest sweep titles at ACC
Wake Forest's Natalie Sheary made par on the first playoff hole to beat Duke senior Amanda Blumenherst and win the individual title at the ACC Women's Championship.
Sheary, who finished with a 1-over 214 total, also powered the Demon Deacons to the team title. Wake's 17-over 869 total won by 24 shots over North Carolina. Duke finished a shot back in third.
Blumenherst, seeking her fourth consecutive ACC individual title, birdied her last hole in regulation to get into the playoff.
Duke's Jennie Lee finished a shot behind Sheary and Blumenherst in third.
