Lamar won its fourth consecutive Southland Conference title Wednesday with a 10-shot victory over Texas-Arlington.

The Cardinals have won 23 conference crowns in program history.

Lamar, No. 35 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished at 5-under 859 at The Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas, and placed three players in the top 5. Justin Harding closed with 72 to finish runner-up. Kevin Hesbois and Hugues Joannes tied for fifth.

Southeastern Louisiana sophomore Cedric Scotto, who started the final round eight shots off the lead, closed with a 69, then won the individual title with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff with Harding and Texas-Arlington’s Zack Fischer.
